DAY 1 Welcome and get-to-know-you dinner in Puerto Varas, a picturesque German town in the 10th district of Chile. Spend the night in Puerto Varas Hotel.

DAY 2 In the morning, travel from the hotel to Caleta La Arena, taking a ferry across the Reloncavi Sound and beginning the bike route in the world-famous Carretera Austral Highway. Bike along the gravel road and camp the first night in Rolecha, a beautiful location in front of the Pacific Ocean.

DAY 3 Wake early and continue south to Puerto Hualaihue. Across the rugged terrain of the Carretera Austral Highway, you can contemplate pure nature and fresh air in remote locations. In the afternoon, soak your tired muscles in the Pichicolo hot springs. Camping in Pichicolo.

DAY 4 Early in the morning start to Hornopiren to take the ferry and sail to Caleta Gonzalo. Continue riding and spend the night in the famous town of Chaiten. Relax and sleep in a cozy Bed & Breakfast in this picturesque town.

DAY 5 Bike from Chaiten to Yelcho Lake. Eat dinner and stay in a lodge in Yelcho Lake.

DAY 6 Begin in Yelcho and continue the Carretera Austral to our first National Park, Queulat National Park. Sleep under the stars in the National Park.

DAY 7 Continue south from Queulat to Las Torres Lake National Reserve. Camp near Las Torres Lake.

DAY 8 Continue to La junta. Camp in La Junta.

DAY 9 Paved roads today! Reach the most famous city on the Carretera Austral, Coyaique. Dinner and lodging in Coyaique.

DAY 10 Bike south to the small town of Balmaceda. Relax and share stories on your final night in the beautiful Balmaceda Bed & Breakfast.

Enjoy the Patagonian wilderness by car! Take a 4-wheel drive vehicle with an experienced driver from Northern Patagonia to the tip of the Americas, Ushuaia. Along the way, stop at the world-renowned Torres del Paine National Park and enjoy stunning views along the Carrera Austral, Chile’s southern-most highway.


DAY 1 Welcome and get-to-know-you dinner in Puerto Varas, a picturesque German town in the 10th district of Chile. Spend the night in Puerto Varas Hotel.

DAY 2 Begin the trip Puerto Montt, a city located 20km from Puerto Varas. Travel towards Caleta La Arena pier and board the ferry, a ride which takes about one hour. During this journey we will see the estuary of Reloncavi. Once at Caleta La Arena area, we will take the ferry to cross the fiords of the Pacific Ocean to Caleta Puelche. Continue along this road to Hornopiren National Park where a ferry will take us to Caleta Gonzalo, a ride of 4 hours, where we will appreciate the landscape and the wilderness of southern Chile. From Caleta Gonzalo area we will continue our route to Chaiten, a small fishing village town widely known for its abundant traces of volcanic ashes from an eruption that occurred in 2008.

DAY 3 After resting and having breakfast, on our second day of travel we will visit a viewpoint of the surrounding areas of Chaiten Volcano where you can see vestiges of the eruption. Enjoy lunch, then travel south to El Pangue Lodge which is located about 175 kilometers south of Chaiten. The Pangue Lodge is the ideal place to relax, surrounded by forests, trails, rivers, and the enchanted Lake Risopatron suitable for fishing. We will stay overnight here.

DAY 4 Departing from Pangue Lodge we will continue our journey to Queulat National Park, about 25 kilometers south. In this amazing area we will start our trekking for about 3 hrs, where we will be able to see hanging glaciers, including the Queulat glacier where the waters are melting up into the Queulat Fjord. Lunch will be served here. After the trekking, we will continue south to the famous town of Coyhaique in the 11th region and capital city of Aysen Region with a population of approximately 60,000 inhabitants. This drive will give us the possibility to take photographs from many scenic viewpoints that stand out for their amazing beauty. It will take us about four hours through paved roads. Stay overnight in Coyhaique.

DAY 5 In the morning we will visit stunning attractions surrounding Coyhaique. Afterwards, we will drive to Balmaceda, a small city located about 55 kilometers south from Coyhaique. We will cross the border into Argentina through Huemules. Now in Argentinean territory, we will drive five hours through the stepped Patagonian land up to the mountainous village called El Chalten. Accommodation provided in El Chalten.

DAY 6 After waking up in this lovely villa, we will start our private tour to Mount Fitz Roy with a half-day trekking among mountain trails surrounded by lush native flora of the area. In the afternoon, relax or continue touring through Viedma Lake & Glacier. At the Southern Ice Fields, there are many activities including sailing, hiking, and climbing in ice crevasses to the Viedma Glacier. After this journey, we will travel to the popular town of El Calafate, which is named after the wild fruit which grows in this area. Accommodation for the night at El Calafate.

DAY 7 The day stars with a visit to Los Glaciares National Park, home to the world-famous Perito Moreno glacier. Test your bravery on suspension bridges that will take your breath away! Enjoy lunch here, then continue a few hours to the most famous National Park in South America, Torres del Paine. Once inside the Park, we will hike for about 2 hrs up to the secluded but luxurious Refugio El Chileno, inside Torres del Paine Park.

DAY 8 After a hearty breakfast, we will make our way towards the base of Torres del Paine’s peak and get a closer view of the impressive formation of these solid granite rocks, where the north, central and south towers are 2.248-2.800-2.850 meters high, respectively. Enjoy gaping at the spectacular “W” formation, then continue trekking around the shores of Lake Nordenskjldour to Refugio Los Cuernos. See scenic beauty with native forests, glacial lakes, and bird watching. About 5 hours walking. Accommodation in Torres Del Paine at “Cuernos del Paine”.

DAY 9 Our tour will head towards Valle del Frances, appreciating the majestic view of the peaks of “Cerro Paine Grande”, peak of 3,050 meters. In addition, see the prominent Cuernos del Paine whose height varies between 2,200 and 2,800 meters; this walk will last about 4 hours and we can watch diverse landscapes including lakes, forests, rivers, glaciers, flora and fauna. Your guide will explain the history and changes of this vast region. We will continue to Pehoe Shelter, a walk of 3 hours through a beautiful road with a view of the lake and Glacier Grey crossing lenga, coigue and ├▒irre forests. Accommodations for the night in Torres Del Paine’s “Refuge Pehoe”.

DAY 10 After breakfast we will hike to the “Grey Glacier”, a glacier often studied by climate scientists. Get an up close and personal view of the water melting away from this glacier. In the afternoon after lunch, we will take the ferry across the lake “Pehoe“ and stop at the “Cave Milodon”, a mystic place that has existed for approximately 10,000 years. Connect our route by land heading to Puerto Natales where we will spend the night.

DAY 11 The journey today will take us to “Ushuaia” through “Tierra del Fuego”, located approximately 800 kilometers south of Puerto Natales in the Argentinean side. Along the highway we will see different kind of flora, some wilds animals like beavers, lamas, foxes, deer, rabbits, birds. We will get very close to Fagnano Lake, which is in the border of Chile and Argentina. We will make a stop in Rio Grande city and then follow to Ushuaia. Overnight in Ushuaia, the southern-most city of the Americas.

DAY 12 After a relaxing morning we will visit the Otway Sound, navigating this area on a beautiful ferry ride, where you can glimpse various types of wildlife including many species of birds. After lunch, open options are available to do different activities, such as visiting the “Maritime Museum of Ushuaia”, or outdoor activities like kayaking, trekking or 4 x 4. Overnight in Ushuaia

DAY 13 Return to Puerto Montt or Santiago (depending on flight connections)
